The Toy Story Buzz Lightyear Cosmic Light Up Goggles are another toy that could easily be a costume accessory, or a stand-alone toy. I often wondered why nobody made a full Buzz Lightyear helmet, but I guess there’s no way to ensure safety. So the next best thing is Cosmic Goggles…
I do like them. The head strap is adjustable. It needs 2 AAA batteries, looks like one on each side, for dual lights. The headband is padded, and as a sort of “one size fits all” approach, uses an elastic band to keep snug. These have a very futuristic look, and have a Buzz Lightyear logo on the side. They don’t follow Buzz’s color scheme, which I would have liked. But they still look cool!
They’re rated high on fun and durability, and I can see why. Monique and I were teasing about getting me a set. I use a jeweler’s headset with magnification and light while building models (another hobby). I think with some tinkering I could blend my magnifying goggles with these, and be the coolest model hobbyist on my block!
Final Thoughts: Buzz Lightyear’s Cosmic Light Up Goggles might not be perfectly in theme, but in spite of that, are an excellent toy that should encourage lots of fun.
